? Women empowerment stands for empowering women with the legal and social rights, education, awareness about self and the world.
? Woman Empowerment had its origin right in the 17th and 18th century when people like ?Jhansi ki Rani? or ?Jyotibha Phule? stood against the society and challenged them from discriminating the rightful rights denied to women just because they were women but now it has disintegrated in its meaning and has led to unfair demands on the part of women like abortion to maintain figure and has obviously led to tensions between couples culminating in divorce.
? The increased divorce rate can be attributed to women empowerment since women being more aware of their legal rights would not mind walking out of a violent or unfulfilling relationship.
? As women become more independent financially, there is a lesser probability that a women stays in a relationship out of sheer necessity and obligation.
? Moreover, with women doing as well as men if not better, the traditional Indian male might find it difficult to compromise to have a more successful second half.

AGAINST THE MOTION-
The main cause of divorce in our society is definitely not the women empowerment. Women empowerment has brought women to raise themselves and their confidence; it is the pre-existing ego problems between husband and wife that are leading to divorce. The main reasons behind the divorce are as under-
? Women empowerment changed the equations of our society and brought misunderstandings between couples but it is the lack of interaction because of lack of time that prevents the formation of a nice and equal relationship.
? Nuclear family fashion is also a root cause as earlier if husband and wife were having some problems there were enough experienced elders to solve them but no one nowadays is there to advice.
? Previously, males inIndiawere embarrassed to ask for divorces due to family pressures and guilt of leaving his wife and children without proper financial support.
? Laws have broadened the definition of domestic violence to include not just physical, but mental and emotional abuses as grounds of divorce too. These laws have contributed in many unilateral decisions to walk out of abusive relationships.
? Influence of Western Culture, with globalization, increased communication and more issues breached on television, increased divorces have been encouraged.
? Lifestyle change: Increased work hours, interaction between colleagues of the opposite sex, these may also lead to divorces although not only from the women?s end. It would be interesting to note whether increased divorce rates are in cities only or villages also.
? Western life style, lack of moral values and lack of sense of responsibilities among couples.
? Passion for glamour and high profile life style.
Social evils like dowry and increased media hype on these issues are still the major aspects leading to divorces.

Yes I agree with you, woman empowerment is very much essential but there are some pros and cons are there. Now all the countries are developing including Arab countries also, because they are removing their rules and regulations on women they are going to educational institutions, they are doing jobs along with men even though the women are dominated by some male persons and in some cases they are totally depending on the men whenever these problems will be solved then only the women definitely compete with the men.

Before discussing this topic let me ask you. What is women empowerment? It is empowering of the women of our nation. So that they could be financially independent. Women empowerment is a step to giving women equal status as men. It is a step to make women stronger. How could this be a cause for divorce?

If you think women empowerment is a cause for divorce. Then it is because women who were suffering from men's torture and harassment, women who have been living like a slave to her husband. Because she had no other choice. Because she don't know what else to do than silent suffering. Now are financially independent. Now are aware of their rights. Now have the courage to raise her voice against the injustices towards her. If that is causing this increase in divorce rates. Is that bad? In my opinion NO! Everyone should be given equal rights. Should be given a chance to choose how their life should be. Rather than suffering like a slave. Being a victim of physical and sexual abuse. Only because she was married to a cruel man. It is far better to dump him. Escape and live independently.

The idea of the empowerment of women should not creep into the idea of marriage. Obviously women empowerment is a good thing, nobody want half our enormous work-force not being wasted. Making women work makes the country grow faster. Empowered women see that they are financially stable and see that they don't need their husbands with them, this is just an opportunity. I think this has done very little to increase divorce rates though.

If you are a divorcee, you're a failure. You are pathetic because you went the easy way out. You weren't patient and did not to solve your problems in the marriage. If your husband?s a drunk or if you can't take your nagging wife, it's your job to settle things. If you can't do that, CLEARLY you shouldn't be trusted in the harder tasks of handling children. Over that nobody wants to marry a divorcee, people don't mind marrying a widow/widower.

A divorce was actually adapted the idea from the west to tend to extreme cases, but bringing weak grounds and asking for a divorce in the court truly makes you look like a fool. The Indian courts generally waits a while and never gives out divorces instantly to make them think about their decisions affecting them and their kids, this goes in vain almost every time. The court gives custody to either of these "smart decision makers", entrusting them with this is a bad idea.

So bottom line, women working is not a problem and it's a bad idea to think so. It's more about the impatient lifestyle you lead.

As we heard that women belong to only kitchens in earlier days now the days are changed women empowerment has begun they are doing works and managing things equally with men this is good to the development of nation and to their own family also, but there is a bane in this if everyone wants to be a leader who will be the follower who will listen to whom so there will raise a conflict among husband and wife. So there will be many more problems in the family and the children will face adverse affects these will cause a situation on break up in harmony among the family.

So the men or women should understand that the people should understand each and other in every matter, they should not show superiority one among them so that there will not be any problem in the family.

What if a man listen to his mother and all decisions are made by his mother for a man than which girl will accept a person like that no women want a man to be dependent only on his mother than such man should not love or marry a girl should stay with his mother only man and his family want a girl should work, do house work, take care of his family and children but the man will listen only his mother I think this point should be made clear in women empowerment.
